1.) What do you think about the ERA? Why?
In my opinion, there is good and bad ideas about the ERA. Some cases it was good because it showed how women wanted to become equal to men, but there are consequences. I don't think the ERA wasd a good idea. Women could have been drafted and many women wouldn't want that to happen to them. Some like how they can just be housewives and take care of their family. Yes, it's a good idea for them to have equal pay and better life-style, but that leads to many consequences. I feel like it would cause more violence in society.
2.) Should it be brought back?
I think it should be brought back. Today, society has changed since the 1960's, so the consequences wouldn't be as bad as what they were before. Now, women are enlisted in the military and there's laws about being drafted at a certain age. Now, women and men get equal pay and are equal on the job site. But some are still lacking rights. I feel like if it was brought back today than it could have a better chance of passing it.
